Airport Hanger
The Engex team successfully delivered the entire engineering solution for the project (Structure and MEP) . We successfully designed the hanger and the services inside. In addition, we designed the external drainage, water treatment system and storage tanks. A particular innovation utilized was the fire damping system utilizing ground and ceiling suppression systems.
Vitosha Sport Arena
Our team was responsible for the design of the entire engineering solution for the site (Structure and MEP). The site consists of a leisure centre, tennis courts and football pitches. A particular challenge was the glulam arch panning over the width of the external playing areas
County Hall CO2 Reduction Programme
We helped London's County Hall, which houses the London Aquarium, to trim energy costs by £150k per annum with a Combined Heat & Power project creating a 190 tons reduction in CO2 emissions. Because of the unique nature of the aquarium, it requires 24/7 heating to retain the temparature of its tanks. The project will deliver an ROI within two years.
Boston Scientific Reduces CO2 by 1,850 Tonnes
Our Combined Heat & Power (CHP) project with Boston Scientific, a leading global medical provider, created major cost savings and environmental benefits. Their Galway plant extends to over 35,000 square meters. We designed, commissioned, installed and maintain a major overhaul of the site which included an MTU gen-set compete with aux plant, housed within an outdoor custom-built plant room.

HS2 Project, Euston Station
Our MEP teams delivered the site water and power supply. In addition, we participated in the rerouting of services, design of attenuation tanks and an ingenious solution to prevent water from freezing in cold weather.
Our Structural team designed all the support structures required – large span bridges, excavation supports and trust blocks and more.
Apex Plaza, Reading
Engex provided permanent and temporary design solutions for the Apex Plaza project. Our engineers ensured the existing structure was capable of supporting the maintenance equipment (roof cradles and access to scaffolding) with minimal disturbance to existing occupants.
1-5 Grosvenor Place
Our team delivered and successfully co-ordinated the temporary MEP for the site. We were able to co-ordinate all our designs with Revit and 3D.
Wilton Power Station
The Engex team provided temporary protection structures over essential services during demolition of part of the existing structure

Digital Engineering
Parametric Design
Our team is capable of working with and producing parametric designs. Parametric designs are computer generated models using programming language to create natural forms. We operate Revit + Dynamo and Rhino + Grasshopper.
Some of the benefits of using paramedic design is adaptability. We are able to change the parameters and within seconds the changes are applied to the entire design. Other benefits include form finding and material optimisations.
Optimisation
Software solutions enable us to optimise shapes and the use of materials, providing huge efficiencies and speed to market for clients.
Building Information Modelling
